Although some doubt the effectiveness of moisturizing creams, it has been observed that quality creams with vitamins and minerals help the skin to stay young and fresh longer.
# 2: Makeup is harmful to the skin
The makeup itself does not damage the skin, but that sometimes we forget to remove it. The skin needs to breathe and if we do not clean our face before bedtime, our pores will clog. There was once a lot of harmful cosmetic products in the market, but modern makeup often can even protect the skin if it has a sunscreen factor or nourish it if enriched with vitamins, minerals and moisturizing elements-it just needs to be cleaned regularly.
# 3: Hypoallergenic products are suitable for all skin types.
On some beauty products you will find the inscription “Hypoallergenic”, but this does not mean that the product in any case will not cause an allergy or that it is suitable for any type of skin. This inscription indicates that the product does not contain the most common causative agents of irritation and allergies, such as alcohol. But the only cosmetic ingredient, to which no allergic reactions have been documented, is distilled water, so always read the list of ingredients if you have sensitive skin or proven allergies.
# 4: The cream should be applied from the bottom up.
Many people are convinced that if they apply the cream in any special way for example, with circular motions from the bottom up, this will increase its effectiveness. Unfortunately, circular motions will not create any magic. But the facial massage is definitely useful, however it is done by certain rules. There are may videos on Youtube, you can learn the techniques and apply it.
# 5: The skin is accustomed to the given cream and thus loses its effect.
Some people say that from time to time we need to change the cream that we use. Actually, switching to another cream can be even stressful for the skin. However, you should keep in mind that some creams are more suitable for summer and others for the winter.

# 6: The Sun heals acne.
Surely the sun baths are important to be healthy, but excessive exposure to the sun will not cure acne. In fact, in the sun the skin emits more mucus, to moisturize the skin dried from the sun, that clogs the pores. In addition, the sun can also lead to the appearance of pigment spots.
# 7: Gymnastics Facials can remove wrinkles.
The face is the only part of the human body, in which the muscles are directly connected to the skin, but the constant stretching of the muscles will not smooth the already existing wrinkles, on the contrary-the same movement can lead to the appearance of wrinkles. That’s why we have wrinkles in the corners of the lips – from the many smiles!
# 8: Sun tanned complexion is healthy.
As we said, regular sunbathing (but not in the hottest hours of the day) are important to get enough vitamin D, but the solar tan is not particularly healthy. In fact, the complexion is a protective reaction of the body against harmful ultraviolet rays.
# 9: Removing moles is always dangerous.
Moles are pigment patches on the skin, which can have a different colour or shape. Most moles are completely harmless, but some can become melanoma under the influence of external factors like the sun for example, so it is nice to often go to a dermatologist for a review and observe the emergence of new moles. Moles with a strange shape should be removed by a specialist. This medical procedure is completely safe.
# 10: If you get a haircut more often, your hair will grow faster.
Hair usually grows at the same speed – about 12 mm per month, whether you’re trimming it or not. It is important to note that when the length of the hair reaches 60-90 cm, its growth is really slowing down, but the haircut of short hair certainly will not accelerate its growth.
# 11: It is useful to clean the skin with ice, because the ice closes the pores.
Some stars swear that there is nothing more refreshing than to pass an ice cube on the skin of your face. The truth is, however, that the ice will not close the pores. They dilate when more dirt enters them, so to close the pores, you need to thoroughly cleanse your face. But not with ice, the low temperature can also harm the skin if it is more sensitive. We advise you not to torture yourself with ice – there are more efficient methods of cleansing the face and closing the pores.

# 12: A nail varnish is harmful because it prevents the nail from breathing.
Nails are made up of dead cells that do not need to “breathe”. They obtain all the important food ingredients from the capillaries under the cuticle.
.
# 13: We have to brush our teeth after every meal.
According to recent studies, there is no need to do this, because the washing of teeth right after a meal is not only unnecessary, but also harmful. Thanks to brushing, the acid from the food can easily enter the enamel and destroy it. So don’t wash your teeth for at least 30 minutes after eating.
